Magnificent Book of UFC Photos
By Mike MacLeod • Dec 31st, 2007 • Category: NewsFor those that describe MMA as an art form, the book, “Octagon” is the perfect tool to prove that argument. The book of photography by Kevin Lynch is filled with 800 full-color and black-and-white images that are absolutely incredible.
You’ll need an industrial strength coffee table to display this work. At 20×26 inches, it weighs almost 70 pounds.
The book includes and introduction by Lorenzo Fertitta and afterword by Dana White. Some of the breathtaking photos include images of Randy Couture, Chuck Liddell, Matt Hughes, Rich Franklin, Andrei Arlovski, Tim Sylvia, and Ken Shamrock, among others.
This beast will not come cheap, however. The clothbound hardcover book comes nested in a handmade leatherbound clamshell box and runs a $2,500. You will have the satisfaction of knowing that it’s limited to 450 copies.
If you want to spend a few more dollars, a deluxe collector’s edition is available to a select 150. This includes a signed and numbered 16×20 inch chromogenic print of the clamshell cover. Asking price is $7,500.
You can order by emailing christy@octagon-book.com or calling 702.588.5523.
