In the press conference after UFC 79, Matt Hughes explains why he used a south-paw stance against Georges St-Pierre.

When asked about his opinion of a St-Pierre fight with current champion, Matt Serra, Hughes predicts a different fight from what happened in their first encounter. “Serra will fall down the ladder just as fast as he climbed it,” says Hughes. When asked about his desire to fight Serra himself, he said it was a possibility but added “there are bigger things out there than Matt Serra.”

When asked his own opinion about a future fight with Serra, St-Pierre says people “will see a different look in my eye.”
