This will be the second sanctioned MMA fight for Slice, a former bodyguard for porn stars and Internet street fighting legend. In his first bout, he pounded Bo Cantrell for nineteen seconds before making him cry uncle.
42-year-old Tank was once one of the most familiar faces in the UFC but his one-dimensional style of standing and banging resulted in more losses than wins. Abbott’s MMA career includes ten wins and thirteen losses.
The fight looks to provide what fans of both fighters enjoy - a lot of hard, wild punches to the head and body. But one would be surprised to see any other techniques employed. This looks to be a first round KO with the only question being who is left standing.
In addition to Slice vs. Abbott, Caplan reports that a middleweight matchup will occur between Australian Kyle Noke and former UFC fighter Scott Smith. Antonio Silva and James “Colossus” Thompson are slated to compete on the card as well, in separate bouts.
