MMA Weekly is reporting that Evan Tanner will face Yushin Okami at UFC 84.

During a question and answer session prior to UFC 80, Joe Rogan stated that Tanner will make his UFC return on April 19. Matchmaker Joe Silva has confirmed that this is true.

While not officially confirmed, the event is believed to take place in Montreal. The main event will be Matt Serra defending his welterweight championship against interim champion Georges St. Pierre.

Tanner hasn’t fought since UFC 59 when he defeated Justin Levens. He defeated David Terrell for the middleweight championship at UFC 51 but lost the title to Rich Franklin in his first title defense at UFC 53.
