Jon Fitch to Face Chris Wilson at UFC 82

Sherdog is reporting that welterweight Jon Fitch will be taking on Chris Wilson at UFC 82 in Columbus, Ohio.The fight is not yet official, but sources from both camps have informed Sherdog’s Greg Savage that signing of the paperwork is imminent. UFC 82 is scheduled to take place March 11.

Fitch is on an incredible roll, having won his last fourteen fights, including seven straight in the UFC. He was originally scheduled to face Akihiro Gono, who was forced to withdraw with a hand injury.

Wilson has a four-fight winning streak of his own and will be making his UFC debut. His last fight was a win over Derek Noble in October and he also claims victories over Rory Markham and current IFL welterweight champion Jay Hieron.

    This is going to be a hard fight for both guys. Chris Wilson ain’t no sleeper. He’s going to bring his A game against this guy.
